7 Magical Christmas Party Entertainment Ideas for Kids (2026) 🎄
By Matthew Ferron (Fezzie the Magician), Director of Kiddly-Winks Children’s Entertainment
There’s something truly special about Christmas. The music, the excitement, the sparkly decorations and, of course, the smiles on children’s faces!
But if you’re organising a corporate Christmas party, end-of-year celebration or community event, keeping children of different ages entertained can be challenging.
I’m Matt, also known as Fezzie the Magician. I’ve personally performed at more than 3,000 parties, and our Kiddly-Winks team has entertained at over 20,000 events since 2009.
Christmas is our busiest and most exciting season, with over 200 parties and events in a week during peak periods. From small office celebrations with 10 children to spectacular community events welcoming more than 1,000, we’ve seen just about everything!
Here are seven of our favourite Christmas entertainment ideas, plus my personal tips for creating an unforgettable celebration.
7 Christmas Party Entertainment Ideas Kids Will Love
1. Christmas-Themed Face Painting 🎨
Who doesn’t love a little festive sparkle?
Our face painters transform children into adorable snowmen, reindeer, Christmas trees and even Santa Claus!
Before every Christmas season, our entertainers attend special Kiddly-Winks training workshops to learn new festive designs.
For large events, we can offer speedy Christmas face painting to help reduce queues while making sure children still receive something magical.
2. Festive Balloon Twisting 🎈
Imagine children walking around your Christmas party wearing colourful balloon Christmas hats or holding candy-cane creations!
Our entertainers learn festive balloon designs through the Kiddly-Winks Academy, adding something extra special to the celebrations.
Balloon twisting is particularly popular at corporate events because children receive a fun creation to take home.
3. Jolly Christmas Elf Entertainers 🧝
Our entertainers love dressing up for Christmas!
With sparkly jackets, Christmas hats and cheerful elf outfits, we help create that wonderful festive atmosphere.
We’re not just there to paint faces or twist balloons. We bring energy, laughter and genuine Christmas cheer to every event.
4. Interactive Christmas Magic Shows ✨
There’s nothing quite like bringing children and parents together for an exciting magic show.
Our performances are interactive, filled with comedy, audience participation and magical surprises.
For larger celebrations, I might perform speciality acts such as ventriloquism or my famous six-foot balloon stunt, depending on the venue and booking.
Alternatively, one of our experienced Deluxe magicians can deliver a fun-filled show that keeps children laughing and involved.
5. Christmas Singing and Dancing 🎶
Our Christmas spirit begins in early November!
You’ll often find us singing along to Mariah Carey’s All I Want for Christmas Is You or dancing to Michael Bublé’s Christmas album.
We love encouraging children to join in, whether they’re confident dancers or prefer watching from the sidelines.
And yes, by our own team Christmas party, we’ve probably heard Michael Bublé a few hundred times!
But somehow, we still love it every year.
6. Interactive Christmas Party Games 🎁
Christmas games are fantastic for bringing children together.
Some favourites include Christmas Musical Statues, Santa Says, festive dance-offs and interactive group challenges.
The important thing is choosing games suitable for the children’s ages.
Our entertainers can adjust activities to suit the group, keeping things fun and inclusive.

7. Giant Bubble Entertainment 🫧
For outdoor Christmas celebrations, giant bubbles can add a truly magical touch.
Watching enormous bubbles float through the air creates excitement for children of all ages.
It’s a lovely addition to community celebrations, family fun days and outdoor corporate events with suitable space.
What Entertainment Do I Recommend for 30–50 Children?
After thousands of events, this is one of my favourite combinations for a corporate Christmas party with children of mixed ages.
I’d recommend three entertainment experiences:
- A full interactive magic show: Around 40 minutes of comedy, audience participation and exciting magic, bringing children and parents together.
- A dedicated face painting station: Children choose their favourite festive design.
- A separate balloon twisting station: Children enjoy Christmas balloon creations without waiting in the face painting queue.
This combination works because everyone has choices.
Some children love sitting together for the magic show. Others can’t wait for face painting or balloons.
Having separate activity stations means shorter queues, happier children and a much smoother event.
For larger groups, we’ll recommend additional entertainers based on your guest numbers and event duration.
How Much Does Corporate Christmas Entertainment Cost?
Corporate Christmas entertainment pricing depends on the number of children, entertainers, activities and booking duration.
Here’s an approximate guide to Kiddly-Winks’ corporate entertainment ranges.
These are indicative Kiddly-Winks price ranges in AUD, not fixed quotes. Final pricing depends on your event requirements, entertainment duration, staffing and travel.
For larger events, combining entertainers can provide better coverage and reduce waiting times.
The Biggest Christmas Party Planning Mistake I See
One of the biggest mistakes organisers make is not booking enough entertainers or activities for the number of children attending.
Face painting and balloon twisting take time because each child receives individual attention.
Even with our quick festive designs, one entertainer can only serve so many children.
If there are too many children and not enough entertainers, queues can become frustrating.
My advice is to book early, provide a realistic guest estimate and allow enough time for everyone to participate.
Our team can help you work out how many entertainers are suitable for your event.
A Christmas Event I’ll Always Remember ⭐
One of my favourite things about Christmas is seeing our Kiddly-Winks team working together.
Throughout the year, many of our bookings involve individual entertainers. At Christmas, we get to work alongside each other at major events.
One experience I particularly love is a large seasonal spectacular where around eight of our face painters work side by side for approximately five hours.
We’re all dressed in festive outfits, creating Christmas designs for long lines of excited children.
Between painting sessions, there’s sometimes time to explore the festival, grab a warm jam doughnut and maybe even enjoy a ride!
It’s exhausting, exciting and so much fun.
We’ve also provided magic, face painting and balloon twisting for Christmas celebrations at Riversdale Golf Club for more than 10 years, sometimes with five entertainers working together.
These are the experiences that make Christmas so special to our team.
What Makes Our Christmas Entertainers Different?
Every year, we run special in-person and online training workshops before the Christmas season.
Our entertainers learn festive face painting and balloon designs, practise their skills and prepare to bring fresh ideas to events.
It’s all part of our Kiddly-Winks Academy approach.
We also understand that every Christmas event is different. A small office celebration needs a different entertainment plan from a community festival welcoming hundreds of families.
Our entertainers have Working with Children Checks, and Kiddly-Winks carries $20 million public liability insurance.
With more than 30 entertainers and staff across our team, we love helping organisers create Christmas experiences that are both professional and genuinely fun.
A Lovely Christmas Customer Experience
One customer, I’esha, booked Kiddly-Winks for a company Christmas party featuring face painting, balloon twisting and a magic show.
Although fewer children attended than expected, the entertainer adapted the experience to suit the group.
The customer praised the face painting and the entertainer’s flexibility.
It’s a great reminder that having experienced entertainers can make all the difference when event plans change.
